 Pensioners        Campaign                    UK

We are pleased to be to announce that our e petition as outlined below has been accepted. It was initiated by us after the story of Maria Worroll whose daughter filmed her mother being abused the story was run by several national newspapers.

We invite you to be the first to take up this campaign that will offer protection to the elderly and peace of mind for the relatives should they wish to use it.

The e petition is as follows;

CCTV to be available to all care recipients and their families

Responsible department: Department of Health

CCTV should be readily available to all relatives of people in a care environment be it in their own homes or in residential care.
The monitoring should be available to relatives to monitor from their homes even if they have to initially purchase the camera/s.
In bathrooms where privacy is required there must always be two members of staff to attend to personal issues when camera's are not available.
We are monitored in town centres, shops, supermarkets, train stations etc there should be no less of a standard when it comes to the care of the elderly and vulnerable.
Homes not agreeing should have to make it clear they refuse and this made public in their adverts or at initial interviews

We hope you will give us some coverage for this and so your readers can sign up at
